The temporary closure of public facilities and many businesses due to civic unrest had prompted event organizers to cancel the original dates for the safety of attendees and exhibitors. However, with labor troubles involving regional police now under control, the Vitória Stone Fair 2017 is back on track and set to take place from June 6-9.

Last month, concerns over violent crime in the Vitória region led to a lack of street patrolling by regional police, prompting event organizers to cancel the original dates. However, despite the challenges, the team behind the event has been working tirelessly to ensure that the show goes on.

'We have already started different international actions to bring buyers and exhibitors from strategic markets to the Vitória Stone Fair 2017,' said CEO Cecília Milanez Milaneze. 'Brazil is important in the worldwide scenario of natural stones and continues to be a reference point for foreign purchases.'

To promote the event, representatives are currently promoting the Vitória show at the Xiamen Stone Fair in China. This move is expected to attract a large number of buyers and exhibitors from the strategic markets.

The rescheduling was announced late Monday by Milanez & Milaneze, the producers of the event. The Vitória Stone Fair/Marmo+mac Latin America is set to be one of the biggest stone events in the Southern Hemisphere this year.
